Do what brings you life!

Hey there, fellow seekers of wellness and fulfillment! Today, I want to talk about a simple yet profound concept: doing what brings you life instead of what deadens you. In our fast-paced, crazy world, it's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and lose sight of what truly brings us joy and fulfillment. But by consciously choosing to engage in activities and pursuits that nourish our souls, we can reclaim our vitality and live better lives.

So, what does it mean to do what brings you life? It's about making choices that align with your values, passions, and well-being. It's about embracing activities that nourish and energize you, inspire you, and make you feel alive. It's about prioritizing your physical, mental, and emotional health, and surrounding yourself with people and experiences that lift you up.

On the flip side, doing what deadens you means engaging in activities that drain your energy, stifle your creativity, and diminish your sense of well-being. It's about mindlessly scrolling through social media for hours on end, staying in toxic relationships, eating "franken-foods (fake)," or working in a job that leaves you feeling unfulfilled and uninspired.

So, here are a few practical tips to help you shift towards doing what brings you life:

1. Identify Your Passions and Prioritize Them: Take some time to reflect on the activities and pursuits that truly light you up. Whether it's painting, hiking, writing, or dancing, make it a priority to incorporate these passions into your life on a regular basis.

2. Set Boundaries: Learn to say no to activities, people, or commitments that drain your energy and do not align with your values. Setting healthy boundaries is essential for preserving your well-being and making room for what truly matters to you.

3. Cultivate Mindfulness: Practice mindfulness to become more attuned to your inner state and the impact of your choices on your well-being. This can help you make conscious decisions that honor your health and vitality.

4. Surround Yourself with Supportive People: Seek out relationships and communities that uplift and inspire you. Being surrounded by positive, supportive individuals can have a profound impact on your overall well-being.

5. Regularly Reassess Your Priorities: Life is ever-changing, and so are our priorities. Regularly reassess what brings you life and what deadens you, and make adjustments as needed to ensure that you are living in alignment with your authentic self.

Remember, doing what brings you life is not selfish; it's an essential part of self-care and personal growth. When you prioritize activities and experiences that nourish your body and spirit, you become better equipped to show up fully in your relationships, work, and the world at large. You become your BEST self, which in turn, positively influences others.

So, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your life and consider whether you are doing what brings you life or what deadens you. And if you find that there are areas where you could make some changes, take small steps towards incorporating more of what brings you joy and vitality.

Here's to living a life that's truly alive and vibrant!

With love and light,

Rick
